Michaella Flaherty

Sixth Grade

Michaella holds her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English Studies from Southern New Hampshire University. She comes to the Hellenic American Academy with almost 10 years of experience. The first 5 years of her career she spent working in elementary level classrooms ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade in the Haverhill Pubic School system as both a paraprofessional and a classroom teacher. Most recently, she has been working as a special education teacher in a middle school classroom for Lowell Public Schools.

In the winter time, Michaella enjoys teaching skiing and snowboarding to a variety of age levels. She is PSIA certified to teach children as young as 3 to ski and ride. In the spring and summer months you can find Michaella roaming around Fenway park as a part of the celebrations crew. Sports and spending time outdoors with her family play a big part in her life. Scuba diving is one of her favorite ways to spend her free time. She has always loved working with children and looks forward to a new school year.
